Tag 1: the client asks for the image’s /DIVERGE.md; the server reads the file from the root of the container’s filesystem, parses it, and answers with exactly one channel response, the document, missing, or an error, and the channel response finish; the container’s program is asked nothing.
The client opens this channel to learn what the arguments the
container holds may be: the image’s /DIVERGE.md, which is the JSON
Schema of the arguments and the text beneath it. The server reads the
file from the root of the container’s filesystem, parses it, and
answers with what it read. The server asks the container’s program
nothing.
- The request. The tag byte
1and nothing more. Request states its form. - The response. Exactly one channel response — the document, missing, or an error — and the channel response finish. Response states the sequence.
- The file. The server reads
/DIVERGE.mdat the root of the container’s filesystem, a symbolic link followed, once per channel of this section, and holds nothing of it between channels. - Missing. An image that ships no
/DIVERGE.mdis answered by the byte1. That is a fact about the image and not a failure. An image that places at/DIVERGE.mdanything that is not a regular file — a directory — is answered the same way.
